The 3480 series 18 track M2483B/BD (rackmount) tape drive and the 3480 series 18 track 2485B/BD/B1/BD1 (desktop) are 3480 and 3490 compatible tape drives, offering leading mainframe technology for data interchange and backup to workstations and other advanced computer platforms.

The MP-8418 by MP Tapes reads and writes tape formats compatible with the IBM 3480 and 3490.
